HP HP Introduces New Software To Facilitate Smoother Transition From HP 9000 Servers

HP has now announced the release of an all new software, that has been designed and developed to facilitate smoother transition for its HP 9000 server customers. Hewlett Packard has released this software so as to enable its customers to shift to new integrity systems. This move has been initiated due to the incompatibility of the PA-RISC processors, that power the 9000 series, where as the new servers from HP are based on the Intel Itanium processors.

With the new software, users can now make use of a new feature in the HP-UX 11i v3 called HP-UX 9000 Containers, that would essentially create a virtual environment, thereby enabling the users to run older applications on the new systems. Furthermore, HP also announced the launch of an all new tool called, Serviceguard, a module designed specifically for the servers running Oracle e-Business suite of applications. Serviceguard will help the IT administrators in configuring Linux clusters to integrate critical applications.
