sprint 4G Sprint Takes The 4G Service Out Of Test Phase And Begins Coverage In San Francisco

U.S, Sprint, along with its WiMAX partner Clearwire, has now begun rolling out its all new 4G wireless service for mobile devices in San Francisco. The all new Sprint 4G WIMAX network in San Francisco is already been picked by numerous 4G devices including HTC EVO 4G, even without the full strength launch of the network. As per reports, Sprint could very well be announcing a formal launch of the network by the end of October or in the early days of the month of November.

The data transfer speeds given by Sprint on its 4G network is currently in a fluctuating mode, wherein at times the devices are able to achieve download speed of almost 2 megabits per second (mbps) and upload speed of almost 1 mbps and in other cases, these speeds go down to 560 kilobits per second (kbps). However, once this incredible new technology is fully integrated, the data speeds are expected to jump to threshold of 3 mbps and 6 mbps, thereby facilitating services such as video conferencing and HD video playback on mobile devices, without any glitches. Sprint has stated that, the high speed 4G services will not be available everywhere in the city, but would be present only in areas, where signal strength is high. Other regions where the signal strength is less than adequate the device will automatically switch to 3G services of the company.
