Google has patched some twelve critical bugs, that could have been used by hackers to conduct attacks. Google had rated these security vulnerabilities as high level threats and proceeded at the earliest to fix them. Among these patched bugs, there has also been a now updated Adobe Flash Player, that was being exploited by hackers to provided flawed PDF documents.
Google Chrome version 7.0.517.44 is the recipient of these patches and the collection of these 12 vulnerabilities include SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics), XML specifications that are used by the browser for two dimensional graphics, along with one flaw in the browser’s V8 JavaScript engine and three flaws in the text handling ability of Google Chrome.
Google had issued a cash reward worth $7,500 to eight researchers who had detected eleven out of the twelve flaws and paid another cash reward of $8,674 in the month of August this year.
Google and Adobe had struck a deal, where in Google was authorized to bundle the Flash software with Google Chrome and supply updates to the software, with the browser’s built in updater.
