Octopus Paul, who became famous for “predicting” the outcome of several games of the World Cup, died late on Monday. Those responsible for aquarium Oberhausen (Germany), where the mollusk lived, confirmed the information this morning.
The animal was about two years and nine months old, a little less than the average lifespan of an octopus estimated at three years. How it never reproduced, the seer of the Cup “leaves no heirs.
