Nokia has the exponential growth that Android and iOS devices are experiencing. This growth will help these new age mobile interfaces overtake the old gun. Nokia is planning to launch devices based with a completely new approach to its UI.
These devices will be built on Meego and will be coming forth in 2011.
This Talk came from Nokia's director of design strategy Marko Ahtisaari at LeWeb conference in Paris.
Ahtisaari was cryptic not to give any details about the devices which are awaiting us. He praised Apple for its interface and simplicity in use, but did mention that the smartphones with physical keyboard will not die out soon.
According to Ahtisaari, 3.5 million apps are downloaded in a day and that 1.3 billion people use Nokia handsets every day.
