This first computer that Apple ever made was sold for $666.66 in July 1976. Why $666.66? Because Apple co-founder Steve Woznaik liked repeating digits.
These computers were sold to a local shop for $500 each plus a one-third mark up. About 200 units of these computers were produced at that time. These computers came with a miniscule 8K memory a memory that is 524,000 times lesser than the standard Apple computer memory today.
For 150,000 pounds, you can buy the first ever computer that Steve Jobs, founder of the Apple Company, made and sold from his parents’ garage, is up for sale.
Only about 200 original pieces of the entire range that apple produce today, from computers to iPads, iPhones and iPods are available today.
This original Apple computer is to be auctioned by Christie’s on November 23, 2010.
