In recent times, Google has integrated many changes into its search system. It has included places and reviews in to many of its organic search systems. The prime spot i.e. the top of the right sidebar that was normally reserved for Adwords has now been given to the map. It is said that this could turn out to be a bad move because Adwords still contributes to a huge part of Google’s profits. And that is not all. Marissa Mayer, who headed Search Products in Google has been transferred to the Geo Local department and promoted to the top notch ‘operating committee’.
A Google spokesperson has even issued a statement that Mayer has been moved to a role that is much more exciting and crucial to Google users in the future. This simply means that today, Google is more interested in mobile and social media than ever.
As of now Adwords is alive and kicking. But all signs are that of an eventual demise. Any guesses at what the future holds for Adwords?
