The above table ,published by a chinese website,is depicting that the Intel’s upcoming desktop processor, codenamed Gulftown ,will be known as the Intel Core i9.It will be a 6-core processor with performance enhancing features, including a total 12 thread count, and a 50% increase in L3 cache over Bloomfield,i.e. 12 MB. It will retain compatibility with the existing LGA-1366 socket, and X58 chipset, and will be available in the first quarter of the year 2010.
